SA: Canned wine creates a fizz

ADELAIDE, Jan 10 AAP - A Victorian winemaker concedes he's facing a massive task in
getting drinkers to sip cabernet from a can.

But the concept has won support from the industry which hopes canned red wine will
attract more drinkers.

Greg Stokes, a Victorian winemaker, has released 30,000 cans of 1998 Iron Bridge cabernet shiraz.

"Most bottled wine comes from stainless steel vats anyway, so what's the difference,"

he told the Adelaide Advertiser.
