A biocomposite material used to fill bony voids in the skeletal system has gained marketing clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for developer Osteotech Inc.
The clearance is for orthopaedic applications.
The material is for gaps in the skeleton that are not intrinsic to the stability of the structure.
